For the first time this year, we are excited to rear 50 free range turkeys.
We have planted a diverse grass mix in our front orchard, where the turkeys have lots of room to roam during the day. A purpose-built poly-tunnel keeps them warm and safe at night. James has been busy putting up the poly-tunnel and erecting the surrounding fence.
We moved them outside when they were 7 weeks old and immediately they really enjoyed being outside on the meadow and were flapping their wings and nibbling the grass!
We are looking forward to sampling a free-range Pale Farm Turkey on Christmas day ourselves!
